LAC member, Mike Hayes, competes on WWE’s Tough Enough

The Louisville Athletic Club has had multiple ties to the WWE Tough Enough challenge. Years ago, Westport’s Personal Training Director, Matt Cappotelli won the show and forever changed his life.  Read part of his inspiring story HERE.

Now, for a second time one of our favorite members is competing for a chance at history. Inspirational Army-Veteran, Mike Hayes, is in the running for WWE glory.

Tough Enough reports:

“WWE Tough Enough finalist Mike Hayes knows all about adversity. While he was serving in the U.S. military, Hayes’ Humvee was impacted by an IED blast, ultimately causing Hayes to lose his left leg. Now, the 28-year-old Superstar hopeful from Louisville, Ky., wrestling with a prosthetic leg and seen at the WWE Performance Center reading a copy of philosophy book “Zen in the Art of Archery,” reveals what drove him to life in the squared circle and what motivates him in his journey to make it onto WWE Tough Enough.”
